Full Dentures
Dental technicians precisely craft these restorations based on impressions we take at our Gurnee, IL office. As a result, these dentures fit comfortably onto the ridge of your jaw. Complete dentures can be placed over some remaining natural teeth. If all teeth are missing, they can be placed over the gums.
Full dentures remain firmly in place thanks to denture adhesive and suction, but they are not as secure or durable as implant-supported dentures.
Partial Dentures
If you are missing multiple non-adjacent teeth, partial dentures can restore your smile with a single acrylic prosthetic. Partial dentures are restorations that fit around remaining natural teeth.
We offer Valplast® flexible partials, which are comfortable, metal-free restorations that do not cover the palate. Valplast partial dentures are notable because they naturally move with your mouth and are precisely shaped to blend seamlessly with the surrounding teeth.
Implant-Supported Dentures
One of the most significant landmarks in modern dentistry is dental implants. Our dentists specialize in placing and restoring dental implants. Unlike other practices that might outsource implant placement, we handle the entire process ourselves at our Gurnee office.
We also go above and beyond by offering multiple kinds of implant-supported dentures. Patients can choose from standard implant-supported dentures, All-on-4 dentures and implants, and snap-on dentures.
Neuromuscular Dentures
Our Gurnee dentists like to address your smile concerns from all angles. With neuromuscular dentures, we can take into mind your jaw muscles and bite. The results? A healthier smile and impressive facial structure rejuvenation. The results are often so noticeable and dramatic that they're referred to as a dental facelift.
Finally, while these dentures can be secured traditionally, the best way to receive their full benefits is by choosing implant-supported neuromuscular dentures.

The Importance of Finding a Trusted Implant Provider
Although it is not difficult to find a practice that provides dental implants, it pays to choose a dentist who has the right credentials and a track record of successful outcomes. Our dentists are innovators: our practice brought neuromuscular dentistry to Lake County, and Dr. Richard D. Cottrell even developed an advanced ergonomically shaped implant.
While cost can be worrisome for patients, it's crucial to consider the importance of investing in the right provider. An experienced dentist means you have a better chance of results that provide a lifetime of benefits, like confidence and improved quality of life.

Which Option Is Better for Me Implant-Supported or Traditional Dentures?
Traditional Dentures
Generally speaking, traditional dentures can be a good option for you if:
-
You Have Bone Loss
It's possible that you may have some bone loss after tooth loss. If it's significant, then you may not be an implant candidate. With bone grafting, a safe oral surgery that replenishes your bone, you can potentially become eligible.
-
You Have Gum Disease
Though we always encourage patients with gum disease to seek periodontal care for their health, there's another reason why it's important. Implants need to fuse with healthy gums to remain secure. If they can't, then we won't place them.
-
You Want to Keep It Simple
Whether you're on a budget or you like the simplicity of removing your dentures to clean them, not every patient wants all the bells and whistles. Traditional dentures are also a great option to those averse to oral surgery.
Implant-Supported Dentures
-
You Aim for Unmatched Stability
Our implant patients love that they never have to think about the stability of their smile ever again. From standard implant-supported dentures, to snap-on dentures, to the All-on-4 system, you'll leave our office with completely stable restorations.
-
You Want Improved Functionality
Because implant-supported dentures are so secure, they offer superior oral function when compared to traditional dentures. That means easier chewing, talking, and smiling.
-
You Prefer Natural-Looking Results
Implant-supported dentures give patients the most lifelike restorations possible. They also can prevent your face from visibly sinking — a common side effect of bone loss caused by missing teeth.
Exploring Our Additional Types Of Implant-Supported Dentures
All-on-4
For patients missing a full arch of teeth, we offer All-on-4 and All-on-5 dentures. They are full dentures that can be attached to only four dental implants. We often recommend them to patients who have a modest degree of bone loss. Because the All-on-4 system requires fewer implants, it can spare patients from needing to go through bone grafting first.
Snap-on Dentures
We also offer snap-on dentures. Like their name suggests, they snap onto your implants and can be removed as needed. They're great for patients who want faster results but don't want to sacrifice the benefits of dental implants. This type of dentures can even be attached to dental implants immediately after implant placement.
Experience the Advantages of Dental Implants When You Seek Treatment at Delany Dental Care
Complete Security
Implant-supported dentures are more secure because the implants function like tooth roots. They don't allow the restoration to budge a millimeter.
Daily Convenience
It can be hard living life without being able to chew or smile. Implants allow patients to eat all of their favorite foods, and to laugh and speak with complete confidence.
Easy Maintenance
Implant-supported dentures require less adjustment than their traditional counterparts. Why? They prevent the jawbone from the atrophy that leads to changes in shape.
Improved Health
Only implant-supported options can stimulate and maintain healthy bone tissue. Even with some bone loss, you can still be a candidate for implants and dentures. Thanks to All-on-4, though, qualification is easier than ever before.
After spending any amount of time with missing, decayed, or broken teeth, it can be hard to remember what it was like having a strong smile. Our team is truly grateful to give patients their lives back. To learn more about the benefits of implants and dentures, contact our Lake County, IL, team or call

The Life-Changing Effects Of Implant-Supported Dentures
"Delany Dental is by far the best experience I’ve ever had when it comes to dentists...I had no bottom teeth. I was embarrassed for years. So many foods I couldn’t eat. Argh, I just felt bad...Today, I have partial implants and a complete set of teeth. I can’t stop looking in the mirror. From my consultation to my visit today, and there were many, each experience was amazing. They are so compassionate and empathetic. It’s been about an 8 month journey with them and I feel so blessed to have made the decision to trust them with truly changing my life. Two people that I will never forget have made such a huge impact on how I feel about myself. Life changing." Michelle Morris
Are Dentures Covered By Insurance?
Yes, dentures are eligible for coverage, though the exact amount will vary. The full range of your coverage will depend on three things: your plan, your materials, and any supplementary procedures. While implants will not be covered, they are a wise investment in your longterm health.
How Much Do Dentures Cost?
Patients who choose implants or sedation will see extra costs — but these investments are often well worth the price.
Pay Over Time With Financing
